Our Connecticut class group shot
Our class hard at work putting together their projectsWow!! What an amazing weekend we had in Connecticut! It was such a treat to meet people in person who we'd been chatting with, via email, for months. Our projects were amazing; we learned new techniques, had lots of time to play with Copics, and went home with a bag full of beautiful stamps creations!
Julie and I had the opportunity to each teach a class, which was a real treat for both of us! I adore teaching (you can see my project on my blog) and Julie, for the second time in a row (she taught at Stamping Around New Hampshire too), walked us through a truly unique project featuring Kitchen Sink Stamps.
We were thrilled to meet, for the first time, Debbie Corbari, who taught a class using a set from Our Craft Lounge. Not only was Debbie a boatload of fun but the extra special part of her class was that she designed the stamp set we used!
Donna-Marie Cecere, an instructor I know from Wholly Scrap (a scrapbook store in North Hampton, NH), taught one of her layered card classes - yippee! I love Donna-Marie's work and was giddy about being able to take one of her classes.
And Julia...we all love Julia! She brought us two of the most darling birdhouses that were perfectly jazzed up...Julia style! When I got home, my three-year old said, "ohhh, a tiny birdhouse, it's so cute!" He obviously has great design sense!
Here's a picture of all of the instructors; from left to right, Debbie, Donna-Marie, Kim, Julie, and Julia.
We also have to give a HUGE thank you to our amazing sponsors! Unity Stamp Co., eclectic Paperie, Kitchen Sink Stamps, Papertrey Ink, Our Craft Lounge, and Wholly Scrap/Impression Obsession sponsored our classes, which means they provided our class with free product and supplies. We were also able to offer every single one of our attendees free gifts; a bottle of Zip dry, fantastic gem stones from eclectic Paperie, stamp sets from Unity Stamp Co., Sassy & Sweet, GinaK, Innovative Stamp Creations, and Flourishes. We are so grateful for everyone's support! Please visit each of our sponsor pages any time you need a little retail therapy!
My class was sponsored by Unity Stamp Co. and here is my table with their logo proudly displayed!
Julie started a Flickr group so that we can post pictures from the weekend. If you attended, we'd love to see your pictures as well! Please upload them to your Flickr account (it's easy and free to join!), join the Stamping Around Group on Flickr and copy them to the Group page.
If you're looking for an amazing stamping weekend, please check out our Vermont details, links in the first red block on the left, as rooms are almost sold out. We'll also be posting details on our Philadelphia event shortly!
Thank you to everyone who attended, taught, and sponsored! We had such a great weekend stamping with you!
